Michael Willis - Scott at Harpeth did a fantastic job with my Guild JF30 Jumbo neck reset and refret. I am thrilled every time I pick it up. Every note rings clean and it play and feels great. The refinish matches perfectly - plus in addition to the neck and joint he also fixed cracks from shipping damage. You would never know. It it flawless.

Briggs McElwee - I was considering buying a new acoustic, but Scott fixed my Taylor up so good I’ve never heard it play better. Highly recommend!

Brett Bo -  I live an hour away from Nashville, but always make the trek when I need my guitars setup. Just recently used Scott for the first time and was very impressed with the setup on my acoustic. Was able to drop it off with short notice and had it back within a week. He’s my guy from here on out.

Ronald Chambless - I’ll start this with this, the hummingbird that my dad bought me was in a bad mishap of my own doing. The head was snapped completely off, there were deep scratches in the body of it as well, I was physically sick over it and began to search for some place that might be able to repair preferably in Texas where I live. I couldn’t find anyone that stood out via websites and pictures so I just simply googled guitar restoration and ran across Harpeth guitar restoration in Nashville. I called and got Scott himself and basically he walked me through the steps we would take to begin. After he received the guitar he called me and said I can fix this. Okay, I was hopeful at that point and long story I know but you need to know that I received progress pictures all the way from start to finish of this project. Scott used his God given talent to completely repair my guitar and in his words he said( it will probably sound better when I’m finished). That wasn’t a boast but was a proven fact, it absolutely did and does because of the rare skills and equipment Scott possesses. He also noticed the pick guard was coming loose and removed and repaired that. I’m sure I’m not relaying what I feel completely but to get my dads guitar back restored fully and sounding better than ever is a milestone for me and it’s because of Harpeth guitar restoration. Thank you again Scott.

Will Clay - I highly recommend Scott St Dennis for anything you need done on your instrument. He does it all. I’ve been taking my guitars to Scott at Harpeth Guitar Restoration for a few years now. He is very transparent, down to earth, and always does IMMACULATE work. He also has a YouTube channel “Harpeth Guitar Restoration” where you can watch his expertise in action.

Josh Goldberg - Scott did a great job on two of my guitars! Very thorough and treats each guitar and each client with care. So glad he is in the neighborhood!

Bo Parker - Scott at Harpeth Guitar Restoration did a fantastic job on my 25 year old Martin D-18 GE. Plays and sounds like a dream. Very professional, timely - met and even exceeded my expectations. Solid pro who loves and understands “us” and especially our instruments. Thanks Scott.

Adam Pope - Scott does incredible work. I brought him an old acoustic guitar built by my great-uncle - an heirloom that had suffered serious damage after years in storage. I honestly didn’t think it would ever play again, much less stay in tune. But Scott completely restored it. Now I get to sit and play a guitar once owned by my great-grandfather, the very man who taught me how to play. Having this family instrument brought back to life is a true gift. Thank you, Scott, for your care, craftsmanship, and clear communication! Well worth the money spent and it was affordable!

Michael O'Keefe - Scott performed an unbelievable headstock repair on my 74 Hummingbird, including a carbon fiber wrap. When I received it, it actually looked better than before. There was no sign of repair and he went out of his way to correct some of the finishes into the correct period. He was also very professional, knowledgeable, and timely. I would highly recommend and use him for any repair in the future.

William McNeill - Just got my Gibson 1943 L-00 back from Scott. It had sat around neglected for years, and was passed down to me in the family. I wanted to have it done right, but not spend a fortune doing it, and I was very fortunate to run across Scott at his Harpeth Guitar Restoration business. He did everything that was needed both aesthetically and performance wise and did not "overdo" what needed to be done. He fully understands how to keep the vintage look and value in such a guitar, and make it sound and look great. Thanks very much Scott. This old guitar has several more years on it now for me to pass it on.

Milton Jackson - If there was ever an experience beyond perfect, it would be this one. Scott is full of knowledge and passion for what he does. I went for a simple nut replacement on my guitar and it returned to me in twice better shape than when I gave it to him. The extra mile he took to ensure I’d get the best experience out of my guitar is something of value you can’t put a price on. 10/10 would recommend!!

Victoria Wiggins

From the moment he first sent me a quote he gave his undivided attention and understanding of my project. Scott kept me in the loop during the entire restoration process and even sent pictures! He also went above and beyond by choosing strings and bridge settings that would best suit my dad’s needs. I am blown away with the overall results and I can’t wait to see my dad’s reaction on Christmas! Thank you, Scott!

Jon Sithoumma -
I had a Jazzmaster that had become a problem child and I debated on selling it. I emailed Scott and he responded back more than happy to take a look at it. Not only did he install the Warmoth neck, he filed down the nut, adjusted the truss rod and fixed the electronics inside. It now feels like a completely different guitar and I haven’t put it down since getting it back. Scott is a professional and very knowledgeable on guitars. I highly recommend him.

Tim Fatone - Mine is just another 5 STAR review for Scott. He rehabilitated my Gibson Les Paul Custom Classic headstock break and perfectly matched the "Guitar of the Week 39" - White / Cream Les Paul Custom Classic color. Seriously incredible. Great guy, great value. You are very lucky if you find yourself at Harpeth Guitar Restoration. I would be remiss not to mention the re-fret he did for me on an old school 90's Epiphone......no regrets....Thanks Scott.

Susan Rowe - I'm a songwriter just moved to Nashville in May 24. I looked for a good luthier before I looked for a Doctor. Scott fit the bill perfectly and he's the only person I take my 2 Martins to for any service - period.

Just got my guitar back from Harpeth Guitar Restoration for a finish repair. Scott buffed the entire guitar and it looks better than new! Scott is very knowledgeable in his area of expertise and does first-rate work for a fair price. He is the go-to guy for guitar finish work, broken necks, neck resets and a variety of other guitar problems. I am glad to have found out about him. He is also a genuinely nice guy!

Dusin Childers -
Scott provides a stellar service and does fantastic work. He took time to hear all of my concerns, gave a clear timeline on work scheduled, provided updates and even finished earlier than we anticipated. I would highly recommend anyone looking for guitar repair and restoration work to give Scott a chance. I will certainly use him again!

Justin Young -
My SG rocks! She’s looking good . Thanks for my bud Scott at Harpeth

Todd Copley -
Wow! Scott does amazing, affordable work and is a great guy too! He did outstanding work on a guitar that a local "repair" music store totally botched. I'll let Scott and Harpeth Guitar Restoration work on all my guitars from now on. You should too.

Jeff Baker -

Scott just has a knack for fixing stuff - especially guitars and amps. It's probably because he's a hell of a guitar player himself! Scott fixed the wiring in both my '83-ish Gretsch guitar and '75 Marshall half-stack cabinet. Thanks Scott!

Tim Canon - There are some really good luthiers in Nashville, no doubt. What sets Harpeth apart from the bigger names is personalized service, attention to detail and flexibility when needed. I took a guitar to Carter for a neck reset, it took four months to get it back. Scott’s turnaround time is much better and his repairs are excellent. I not only use him a lot, but have started to recommend him to out of town guitar players who need it done right. I trust him with valuable vintage instruments or player grade gear, look no further!

Alex Blizniack - I’ve entrusted Scott with several of my guitars; they always come back sounding the best I’ve heard them. Just got my Heritage 339 clone back from him which had a headstock break from a prior owner. Not only did Scott complete a repair that restored the structural integrity and preserved intonation, but the cosmetics make it appear seamless - as if it never happened! Not really sure where he gets his magic touch, but he sure does have it.
